Pennsylvania Crash Results in Severe Injuries

On July 6, a car accident in Pennsylvania led to severe injuries to two people from Union City, New Jersey. According to a report released by Pennsylvania State Police officials, the accident occurred when a pickup truck hit a motorcycle as the motorcycle traveled along River Road in the vicinity of Nockamixon Township. The motor vehicle accident resulted in the closure of the roadway south of its intersection with Route 611.

The 52-year-old man who was driving the pickup truck was from Mercer County, New Jersey. The report stated the pickup truck driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident and sustained no bodily injuries in the wreck. The exact reasons for the accident were unclear, but authorities later issued the driver a criminal citation for his actions.

The 54-year-old New Jersey man driving the motorcycle sustained severe injuries, and at the time of reporting, he remained in St. Luke’s University Hospital in Fountain Hill. His passenger, a 51-year-old woman, was also taken to the hospital, but the hospital was unable to confirm a record of her presence.
